# Workspace and team

> What a workspace is, how to invite teammates, the Owner and Member roles, transferring ownership.

A **workspace** groups brands, the team and the subscription. All members of a workspace see the same brands and the
same numbers. Its page addresses start with the workspace's short name, for example `/my-company/`.

## Several workspaces

If you are part of several workspaces (for example your own and a client's), switch between them from the menu at the
top of the left sidebar (**Your workspaces**). Survelium remembers the last workspace and the last brand you opened.

## Roles

| Can | Owner | Member |
|---|---|---|
| See and work on all brands, prompts, competitors and content | yes | yes |
| Invite teammates, revoke invitations, remove members | yes | no |
| Transfer ownership | yes | no |
| See the plan, limits, usage and invoices | yes | yes |
| Choose, change or cancel the subscription, edit the billing details and the payment method | yes | no |
| Delete a brand | yes | no |
| Receive the emails about the subscription and payments | yes | no |
| Leave the workspace | after transferring ownership | yes |

A workspace has a single owner: whoever created it, until they transfer ownership.

## Invite a teammate

**Team** (at the bottom of the menu) → **Invite a teammate** → email address → **Send invitation**.

- Your teammate gets an email with the acceptance link, valid for **7 days**.
- If they don't have an account, they create one from the link (first name, last name, password); the address is
already confirmed. If they have an account, they log in and the invitation is accepted automatically.
- The invitation only works for the address it was sent to.
- Invited people join as **Member**.

Under **Pending invitations** you see when each invitation expires, and you can **Revoke** it.

## Transferring ownership

In the member list, next to the teammate taking over: **Transfer ownership**. You become a Member, they become the
Owner. The owner can't leave the workspace or remove themselves until they transfer ownership. Nor can they delete
their account while they own a workspace with other members (see [Deleting your account](https://survelium.com/docs/account.md#deleting-your-account)).

## Removing and leaving

- The owner removes a member with **Remove**. The member loses access immediately; what they set up stays.
- A member leaves on their own with **Leave**.

The number of members is not limited by plan.
