# Shopify, Wix, Webflow and static sites

> The JavaScript beacon — sees people arriving from assistants, but not AI crawlers.

On platforms where you cannot run code on the server, install the **JavaScript beacon**: a small script in `<head>`.

**The limit:** the beacon sees **people** arriving from assistants, but **not AI crawlers**, which do not run
JavaScript. On such a site [crawler hits](https://survelium.com/docs/ai-traffic/crawler-hits.md) stay at zero and the
[AI traffic share](https://survelium.com/docs/ai-traffic/traffic-share.md) shows "—", because there is no daily total.

## Install

1. In Survelium, open **Brand settings → Integrations → Other sites**.
2. Copy the script and put it in the `<head>` of every page:
   - **Shopify:** Online Store → Themes → Edit code → `theme.liquid`, before `</head>`.
   - **Wix:** Settings → Custom Code → Add Custom Code, in Head, on all pages.
   - **Webflow:** Site settings → Custom Code → Head code.
   - **Static site:** in the template shared by your pages.
3. Open the site. The beacon status under **Brand settings → Integrations → Other sites** turns active after the first visit.

## If you can install on the server too

On WordPress, Laravel, OpenCart or another PHP site, the server integration sees AI crawlers too. You can keep the
beacon: while the server reports visits from AI, the ones reported by the beacon no longer count, so nothing doubles.
