# Google Search Console

> How to connect Search Console to a brand and what you get — prompts from real searches and Google demand.

The Google Search Console connection brings into Survelium the **real searches** for which your website appears in Google.
It's optional and is set up per brand.

## Connect

1. Brand settings → **Integrations** tab → **Connect Google Search Console**.
2. Choose the Google account that has access to the property. We ask only for **read** access to Search Console.
3. If a single property matches the brand's domain, it's chosen automatically. Otherwise you choose it under **Which property
is this brand?** — domain properties (`sc-domain:`) are recommended, because they
include all subdomains and the `http`/`https` variants.

**Disconnect** removes the connection. Prompts added from it stay.

## What you get

- **Prompt Discovery → Google Search Console** — prompt suggestions from the searches that brought you impressions in
the last 90 days. We take searches with enough impressions, remove searches for the brand name and prefer
those of 3 words or more, which most resemble a question asked to an assistant.
- **The Google demand and Gap columns** on the Prompts page, for prompts that came from Search Console: how many
impressions the search has in Google and how much of that demand you lose in AI answers. See
  [Google demand and gap](https://survelium.com/docs/metrics/google-demand-gap.md).
