SurveliumBot
SurveliumBot is the crawler of Survelium, a service that shows companies how AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and others) talk about them. If you see it in your logs, here is what it does.
What it reads
Only public pages that AI assistants cite in their answers. When a page of your site is among the most cited for a question, we read it to see what such pages have in common: headings, structured data, an FAQ, prices, tables.
How often
At most once a month per page, one request per page, one page at a time, with a pause between requests. We keep the signals we read from the page, not its content. We do not use your pages to train AI models.
How to recognise it
It sends this user agent:
SurveliumBot/1.0 (+https://survelium.com/bot)
How to keep it out
SurveliumBot follows robots.txt. It reads the rules for SurveliumBot, or those for all crawlers (*) when there are none for it. To keep it out of the whole site, add:
User-agent: SurveliumBot
Disallow: /
If robots.txt cannot be read (a server error), SurveliumBot does not read the site at all.
