Brands
A brand's fields, what each one changes, how to pause or delete a brand, and the limits.
A brand is what you monitor: a name, a website and its set of prompts. Each brand has its own numbers, competitors and integrations.
Add a brand
From the brand menu → Add brand. The wizard has three steps:
- Brand — name, variants, domain.
- Prompt source — where the suggested prompts start from:
- SEO keywords — the keywords you want to appear for;
- Specific URL — a page (yours, a competitor's or an article) from which we infer the questions;
- Brainstorm — suggestions based on the brand alone. This is also where you choose the language and the country.
- Select prompts — between 3 and 15. You can edit them, ask for a different suggestion (Suggest a different prompt) or add your own.
Create brand & start monitoring saves the brand and starts the first check right away.
Settings (General tab)
| Field | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Name | the name searched for in answers |
| Domain | your website: we search for it in answers and in sources, for Used as source |
| Variations | other forms of the name, searched for the same way as the name (see below) |
| Keywords | the starting point for suggested prompts |
| Language | the language the assistants must answer in |
| Country | the location sent to the assistants that accept one (see AI models) |
| Active | if turned off, the brand is no longer checked; its history stays |
Available languages: English, Romanian, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Swedish. Countries: United States, United Kingdom, Romania, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Sweden.
A change of language or country applies from the next check. Old answers stay as they were received, so a jump may appear in the charts.
Name variations
The name and its variations are searched for as text, ignoring case. Add:
- abbreviations and forms without the legal form ("Acme" for "Acme Industries LLC");
- alternative spellings ("E-Shop", "eShop");
- product names you're known by, if you want them to count as your brand.
Don't add common words: a variation "Home" would match any answer that contains "home".
Content profile
Target audience, tone of voice (Professional, Friendly, Technical, Persuasive) and notes on tone. They're used only when writing briefs and articles. See Content.
The other tabs
- Reports — see Reports.
- Check run history — each check, with its status and the reason when it was skipped. See How we collect data.
- Integrations — connecting your site for AI traffic (a server integration with a key, or the JavaScript beacon), and Google Search Console.
Pause and delete
Pause — to stop it from being checked for a while, turn off Active: the brand and its history stay, and the checks stop. You can turn it back on at any time.
Delete — only the workspace owner, from the Delete brand tab. You confirm by typing the brand's name. The brand goes for the whole team, with its prompts, answers, competitors, content and AI traffic; its integration keys stop receiving data at once. A check already running finishes, then nothing else runs.
The brand's slot in your plan frees up at the next month of the subscription; the date is written in the delete area (see Freed slots).
Limits
The number of brands in a workspace is limited by your plan (see Billing and plans). While Survelium is in early access, there are two more limits, whatever the plan: at most 2 brands per workspace and at most 15 prompts per brand, active or paused.
