Where you're missing
The prompts where AI answers name your direct competitors, but never you.
A prompt appears in "Where you're missing" when, in the chosen period, its answers name at least one direct competitor and none of them names you.
The rule
gap = 0 mentions of your brand and at least 1 mention of a direct competitor
Everything is counted on the finished answers in the period, with the model filter applied.
Severity
Next to each prompt, "N competitor mentions" shows: how many times direct competitors were named in the answers to that prompt. Each competitor counts once per answer, so 3 competitors in 4 answers can give at most 12. More means a more visible gap.
Example
A prompt has 5 answers. None names you; Competitor A appears in 4, Competitor B in 2: 6 competitor mentions.
What else you see on the row
- The competitors that appeared and how many times.
- What they win on: the attributes answers associate with the competitors (price, experience, location…), with the number of occurrences.
- The models where the gap shows up.
What counts and what doesn't
| Counts | Doesn't count |
|---|---|
| Competitors marked "Direct Competitor" | Ignored, unrelated or unmarked brands |
| Prompts with at least one competitor named | Prompts where nobody is named |
How to read it
- A prompt lands here only if you are completely missing in the period. Where you appear rarely, but do appear, look at visibility per prompt on the Prompts page.
- For the sources side (who is cited, not just named), see Missing sources.
